The Fund seeks to achieve its investment objective by investing primarily in common stocks of U.S. and non-U.S. issuers that SouthernSun selects using a research-driven, value-oriented investment strategy. The Fund may also achieve its exposure to U.S. and non-U.S. issuers through investing in
American Depositary Receipts (“ADRs”), preferred stock or corporate bonds. Under normal circumstances, the Fund will invest at least 35% of its net assets in investments economically tied to countries other than the U.S. The Fund’s portfolio typically invests in 15-40 companies SouthernSun believes are niche dominant, attractively valued with financial flexibility and uniquely fitted management teams. When selecting companies for investment, SouthernSun seeks opportunities that it believes have the following characteristics:
- Financial Strength: SouthernSun prefers companies that have strong internally generated discretionary cash flow and organic revenue growth
- Management Capability: SouthernSun prefers management teams with measurable, transparent goals that are held accountable for performance. This applies to multiple levels of management from the CEO and CFO to the plant/facilities manager
- Niche Dominance: SouthernSun prefers companies that it believes exhibit competitive advantages through superior products, process controls and technologies

Investments in international securities are subject to certain risks of overseas investing including currency fluctuations and changes in political and economic conditions, which could result in significant market fluctuations. These risks are magnified in emerging markets.
The Fund is subject to currency risk resulting from fluctuations in exchange rates that may affect the total loss or gain on a non-U.S. Dollar investment when converted back to U.S. Dollars.
The Fund is subject to risks associated with investments in small- and mid-capitalization companies such as erratic earnings patterns, competitive conditions, limited earnings history, and a reliance on one or a limited number of products.
The Fund may invest in derivatives, such as options and futures; the complexity and rapidly changing structure of derivatives markets may increase the possibility of market losses.
A greater percentage of the Fund’s holdings may be focused in a smaller number of securities which may place the Fund at greater risk than a more diversified fund. Companies that are in similar businesses may be similarly affected by particular economic or market events; to the extent the Fund has substantial holdings within a particular sector, the risks associated with that sector increase.
The Fund invests in value stocks, which may perform differently from the market as a whole and may be undervalued by the market for a long period of time.
